The day started with me encountering with some people in the middle of the road at 3:45 in the morning. Look like some RELA members - about 5-7 - on duty or whatsoever. They're looking for someone I guess, maybe some suspect that got away, or a hit and run suspect. God knows. I stopped, I was a little scared, but I kept my cool, I don't know why, but I stopped by the side of the road anyway. They checked my license, IC, and some of my belongings before letting me go. They look like gangsters in the first place. My dad told me to never stop other than they have uniforms and those official stands, but there's so many bogus policemen around, how to not run into some of them one day? On the other hand, my mum said they'd probably want to extort money from me, but lucky for me, they don't have a reason to do so, and even if they do, I only have like RM5, but the bike would probably worth more.
So the journey continued, and I can't help but I realized that the wait at the traffic light has gotten longer in the wee hours. Seriously, I waited, but the lights didn't change, so I ignored it either way, maybe something is wrong with me, but seriously, the light took eternity to change. I reached school, save and sound... thanks be to God. Not many people are there, only the girls because they have long long hair to tidy up. I went to the MPV room, or so I like to call one of the privilege of being a scout, a big big garage for the team, unlike other teams (no disrespect here) who have to live with the small room provided, where the space is so limited. My seniors are there, I only remember Liew, our chairman, and Hoi -hmm how should I address her- ok, our vice president there. I think Wilfred is there, but either way, I went to the other part of the MPV to catch some sleep.
5am, we practiced a few, got our stuffs which includes our shoes and shirt, got onto the bus, and set off for SMK Seri Pagi. The place is one hell of a big place which has 3 schools that would cover you for 19 years, which are the kindergarten, primary and secondary school. There's even hostels there for student to live in. The place there isn't too good, but I guess that is no excuse for a team that is really good. So there goes the normal procedure, changing our attires, eating some bread, checking our uniform, and then some morale boosting speech (and yet people wonder why emotion affects the human so much), and then the competition. I think we did pretty well, but like all of you who are well informed, we lost, for the second time, in a row.
It didn't eat into me, I didn't feel remorse or disappointed, I did expect us to win, but well, things don't always turn out like how we want them to. I think we've did one hell of a great job, but probably our opponent did better. Some teachers argued that we should win, some said we don't deserve, but well, whatever for, not like it's going to change a thing. I've got a good feeling for biased judging, but it is really hard to say... enough said, let bygone be bygone. Time to move on.
Romans 12:19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord
