Long time no see pal, its not that I'm studying my ass off I could hardly write anything, its probably because I'm too lazy + lack of inspiration. The good mood today have empowered me to post something up. =D
We had this little survivor cooking today at school, well it wasn't really a good day for everyone... I personally know what it feels like when the freaking fire doesn't light up after 10 tries, but hey, cheer up, its part of our learning process, some little survival skills could help somehow in the future. Who knows?
I guess this post would be another wall of text without any pictures, I don't like to hold a camera all the time, but if you're interested to read more, go ahead. =D Well first it was a boring morning in class, Jeremy and I didn't bring our PSP, and Naren's PSP only have some shitty games that couldn't be any less interesting, and that includes Patapon 1, I'd really prefer the second one.
I went out the class, despite being warn of being scolded and punished, but it looks like I was quite welcomed by the 2 counsellors on the excuse of finding them for some other matter and just merge into the crowd. =D Well, I didn't know what encouraged them to go cooking anyway, some people have really no idea in lighting a good fire (not saying that I'm any better =D) well, at least if you wanna go cook some stuff, why not learn something through the internet? It saves you from humiliation from the judges.
Despite of the chaos some teams faced, some managed to find order in it, with quick swift moves, they set up their tools, tables, and stuff - good teamwork. Whereas, some group have only 1 person lighting it and another 4 look on... Well, believe me, it happens alot of time that people just look at you and seems like they don't know what to do. So the 2 main course of the day was Kuey Teow and fish. Alas, most of them did fry kuey teow, but there was one group that did laksa kuey teow but too bad it doesn't taste much good since their fire isn't really stable, which probably means their food are raw. Well, fish seem to be popular with any survivor-like cooking. Some tasted good, some tasted raw... oh well. =D
It was a tiring day, and the winners are as expected with Sye Ying's group that came in first, they have nice decorating which are really presentable and the food aren't half bad, and bonus marks for side dishes like taufu and drinks perhaps? Second team was Ying Li's. Their's aren't bad either even though they have some tough time with the fire earlier, thanks to Pn Elizabeth, things went smooth (HEY! isn't that cheating? =D) Nevertheless, the food tasted good and they also got your home-made coffe, self-service style =D. You have to pour your own tea, add your own sugar, and pour your own milk... sounds just like home to you? The thrid place went to some people whom I don't really recognize, so well, that wraps it up for today. =D
I don't know why, but I'm in a very very good mood today... God knows why... =D
