If you're not a fan of PSP (PlayStation Portable), I suggest you skip, but thanks for reading anyway.I recently won a PSP 2000 with a TA-088v3 motherboard - the latest motherboard for a PSP 2000. I bagged this thing a week before the marching competition back at April, if I recalled properly, it should be on the 10th of April. It was indeed a fortunate thing for me, to actually win a PSP from a Voting system (I was the lucky 700th or 1400th voter) for the competition "Jom Tunjuk Caramu" held by Cadbury Choclairs (sounds kind of "ciplak" right?) last year.
When the package arrived on that day, I wasn't at home, so my mother received the package with a sign for the delivery man. It reads that it’s from Cadbury Choclairs, so my sister actually almost put that package into the refrigerator (BBQ PSP), but before that she did shake the package - like everyone else would do if they receive a package out of nowhere - to determine whether it was sweet, but guess it wouldn't hurt if the "sweets" wouldn't melt if it isn't in the refrigerator, so it was left on the table for me to open when I was back from school at 6 in the evening.
When I got back that day, I was eager to find out what is in the content because I don't remember having anything to do with Cadbury. To find out that I won a PSP just overwhelmed me that moment. I was screaming, I was jumping, I was running around announcing I won a PSP like announcing that I won a billion ringgit lottery, I even called my brother at KL, just to tell him this little fortunate incident that happened to his younger brother.
Love your enemies like yourself (Luke 6:27-28), that was something I gave a second thought. I won this of course because of God's will. I actually voted for this guy who joined the Cadbury competition. It was a talent show and the winner will bag an Xbox (the hell, Microsoft said it was “an” instead of “a”) and he emerged as the champion. He was disliked among his peers, he was unfairly judged, people mistreat him, maybe because of what he did to others, but I find no wrong of him against me, but I was definitely influenced by my peers who hated him. So I voted thinking "I'm not voting for him, I'm voting for the school" I voted this online, which didn't cost a cent, and bagged a PSP. Meaning to say: Free PSP, anyone?
Now for the less unfortunate event, the PSP 2000 with the latest motherboard was unable to be hacked for HEN (homebrew enabler that allows you to play "pirated" games that are downloaded from the web). I assure you that I am not the only one doing this, but the whole of Malaysia, Stores that even sell cracked PSP. I know I shouldn't do something bad just because everyone do so, because bullying the school bully just makes you as bad as them. But I'm sure you yourself would hack it because one UMD (Universal Media Disc, an optical disc medium developed by Sony for use on the PlayStation Portable) would cost you about 100 ringgit. Yes, I repeat, one (1) UMD for 100 ringgit. Is it worth it? It’s up to you.
But now, it can be hacked. The exploit was released, like a Trojan horse, where it was unrecognized by the security system, a loophole in the city that was about to be conquered. Arrows are released, footmen battled, artillery shots are fired, with the advantage of the Trojan, they won the battle easily due to the effort that they put into the battle strategy. The PSP 2000 is now vulnerable to homebrew games.
I would like to thank God, for this fortune, Jeremy Tay, a friend of mine, who is like my PSP Guru, and the guy (unnamed) who participated in the competition that allowed me to vote to win, and those who helped me direct and indirectly.
